Workplace Safety

Dear Mountaintop Staff,

If you are injured please follow the steps below.

Step 1. Call for Assistance/Mitigate Damage (e.g. ensure safety and contact supervisor)

Step 2. Get prompt care for injuries (e.g. First Aid, Medical Aid, 911, etc.)

Step 3. Report the incident by completing the applicable documentation below. 

Occupational First Aid Attendance

• If First Aid is provided, the first Aid Attendant completes the Occupation First Aid Record
• Provides injured worker with WorkSafeBC 6A form (if missing work or medical aid required). See link below.

Worker 

• If the injury may result in medical aid or time loss, the Worker completes the WorkSafeBC 6A For Worker's Report of Injury to Employer)

Supervisor/Administrator

• If the injury may result in medical aid or time loss, the Supervisor completes an incident investigation form and submits all documentation to OHS within 24hrs.

Work/Administrator

• If the injury is a result of a student behaviour - violent incident, the worker will need to discuss with this incident with the administrator.
• Complete a Workplace Violent Incident report online (Clevr)
